As women, we go through a lot of things that make us doubt our ability and strength. Often, we find ourselves in situations where we feel lost along the way. Yet, God’s power rests upon us and the distance between us and our breakthroughs is only a step away. In this article, I want to encourage you to step out in faith and embrace the power of God.
You Are Stronger Than You Ever Thought
There is exists hidden potential and strength in every woman. However, fear and doubt fill our minds when we haven’t yet realized the strength that lies within us. Often, we are afraid to confront things that don’t align with God’s will because we feel inferior and vulnerable. But the moment we step out boldly, we experience victories and positive changes in our lives.
Think about the story of Deborah; a prophet and judge who was chosen by God to rule over Israel. At the time of her reign, the Israelites lived in oppression under the hands of the King of Canaan. Strong men like Barak were afraid of going to battle against the Canaanites. But Deborah unleashed the strength within her and stepped out to fight for the sake of the Israelites.
Judges 4:8-9 (NIV) – “Barak said to her, “If you go with me, I will go; but if you don’t go with me, I won’t go.” “Certainly I will go with you,” said Deborah. “But because of the course you are taking, the honor will not be yours, for the Lord will deliver Sisera into the hands of a woman.” So Deborah went with Barak to Kedesh.”
Victories, opportunities, achievements, and many good things have been given to us. But we miss out on them because we allow fear and doubt to hold us back. When you read Judges chapters 4 and 5, you will note that Deborah fought with strength. As a result, Israel won the battle and lived peacefully thereafter.
What does this message mean to us today? The story about Deborah is a message of hope and encouragement to all the women. It is a reminder we are strong regardless of how society views us.
In life, we may be going through tough times, relentless struggles, and spiritual battles that don’t seem to end. However, God is calling us not to sit back and continue suffering. He wants us to overcome our fears and fight for ourselves and the well-being of our loved ones.
Philippians 4:13 reads, “I can do all this through Him who gives me strength.”
This is the affirmation we need to make every time we step out to fight for our course. With God by our side, no situation will be impossible for us to overcome. He has already made us conquerors through His love and grace. It is only upon us to come out of the confines of fear like Deborah and pursue our goals, destiny, and divine purposes.
In conclusion, as you step out to face each day, remember that you are not alone. Isaiah 41:10 assures us of God’s presence and support. He is faithful enough to uphold us with His righteous hand in whatever we do. Let not fear and doubt prevent you from fulfilling your God-given purpose. Embrace the strength within you and make a positive impact in the world.
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. – Isaiah 41:10
