Many women are struggling out there because they haven’t yet found purpose and fulfillment in God’s plan for their lives. You see, we were all created for a special purpose and God has a unique plan for each one of us. Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV) says;
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
God says that He knows the plans He has for us, but do we? Do we even know what God has called us to do in our homes, workplaces, and ministries? We fail to find fulfillment in the things we do because we don’t understand what God’s plan for our lives is.
Below is a guide that will help you find fulfillment and purpose in God’s plan:
Trust in God
Trusting God involves a surrender of all our plans, personal ambitions, and heart desires to seek God’s will. It requires an acknowledgment that God is the Master Planner of our lives and everything we do must align with His perfect plan and will. When we do this, we will understand what God desires from us and we learn to be contented in whatever happens.
Listen to the Promptings of the Holy Spirit
Amid the noise of the world, we must take time to listen to God’s guidance. You see, that inner feeling that many of us call ‘something’ is actually the prompting of the Spirit of God. It is a gentle and still voice within our hearts that tells us what to do or where to go. In Psalms 32:8 (NIV) God says;
“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.”
Through prayer and meditation, God often reveals His plan and purpose.
Understand God’s Timing
Patience is a virtue when walking in God’s plan. Trusting in God’s timing ensures that every step aligns with His divine schedule. When we believe that everything will happen at God’s perfect time, we find fulfillment in whatever we do even though we are not where we want to be. Moreover, when we understand God’s timing, we learn to appreciate and be thankful for whatever we already have. This brings a sense of peace and contentment.
Face Challenges with Faith and Resilience
Challenges are inevitable, but facing them with faith strengthens your connection with God’s plan. When we look at exemplary women in the Bible, we note that many of them went through challenges that shaped their destinies. Consider the example of Ruth, a widow who had to go through hard times before God shaped her destiny and purpose.
Romans 8:18 (NIV) says “I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.”
When challenges come your way, do not give up. Instead, face them with faith and resilience. As you do this, you will find purpose and fulfillment in God’s plan. He is a God who can turn mourning into joy and bad situations into beautiful ones for the glory of His name. Amen!
As you go about your week remember to trust God, listen for the promptings of the sweet Holy Spirit, allow and trust God’s timing and keep faith and resilience at your side.
